In this context, establishment of hi-tech and modern industry has been chosen as the most effective strategy for the country. Also the need for foreign investment has been duly recognized Setting up of a Hi-tech Park has been envisaged as the most suitable option that combines twin objective of moving these top-priority growth sectors and engendering foreign investment.
Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park is situated on around 232 acres of land at Gazipur beside Dhaka-Tangail expressway. The Park has an excellent location and enjoys easy transportation links. It is well connected with other parts of country by roads and railways. It is 40 km away from Dhaka city and 25 km from the Dhaka International Airport. A rail station is only 13 kilometers away from the park and another is going to be established about 2 kilometers away from the park.
